Dr Emma Laurence

Dr Emma Laurence qualified in the UK in 2007 and gained experience across various specialties, including elderly medicine, psychiatry, emergency department, and surgery. Dr Laurence decided to specialize in general practice in 2012 and joined the Dunedin South Medical Team.

Despite periods of maternity leave and a stint in Auckland, she always returned to DSMC and became a Director/Owner in 2018. Emma and the team are dedicated, hardworking, and bring a good sense of humor to their work. She values the purpose and lifelong learning that health care offers. For Emma, earning her patients’ trust and building close relationships is deeply rewarding, and she emphasizes the importance of accessible, continuous care at Dunedin South Medical Centre.
