Dr David Kent

David graduated in the UK in 1986. He joined DSMC in March 2005 and has been a full-time partner ever since. Dr Kent is a hard worker, who is caring and compassionate to his patients. He has a strong focus on listening, taking his patients concerns seriously and advocating for them when he needs to.

He enjoys teaching medical students and has been a tutor at the University of Otago Medical School for almost 15 years, teaching undergraduate students both on campus and at the DSMC practice.

He loves working in medicine and hopefully giving back to the community. It can be incredibly rewarding, particularly when you’ve had the privilege of working with four generations of the same family.
